Description
After running the Upgrade Tool Samba shares are not accessible if the long user name is provided (e.g. user@nethserver.org
)
Steps to reproduce
- Install ns6 and configure ibays in PDC mode
- Run the Upgrade Tool
Expected results
The ibays are still accessible with long user name
Actual results
Login with long user name fails
Additional information
The userPrincipalName
attribute is missing in the AD LDAP.
[root@vm3 ~]# net ads -P search cn=admin userprincipalname Got 1 replies
Entry found, but no attribute.
Workaround: run the action /etc/e-smith/events/actions/nethserver-dc-sync-upn

The fix could be added to the action nethserver-directory-ns6upgrade
. A similar issue is raised also with the backup/restore or rsync upgrade methods.
