Description

Given a server with two or more configured providers and a PPPoE red interface, when PPPoE is restarted the PPP daemon inserts a default gateway route.
The new default gateway breaks the multi WAN routing.

Steps to reproduce
  • Configure a red interface as PPPoE
  • Configure a second red interface
  • Configure two providers inside the multi WAN page
  • Restart the PPPoE process
Actual behavior
  • A new default gateway is added to the route table
Expected behavior
  • The route table should not be modified

I used nethserver-firewall-base-2.8.0-1.16.g9f1aa9e.ns6.noarch which contains the fix.

When I had only a PPPoE connection:

[root@nscom ~]# grep DEFROUTE= /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-ppp0
DEFROUTE='yes'

When I added a second ethernet wan provider:

[root@nscom ~]# grep DEFROUTE= /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-ppp0
DEFROUTE='no'
