Description

Trusted networks panel should deny adding green networks, they are already implicitly trusted.
I'm not sure that other other networks should not go into trusted networks.

New networks can't be:
  • already used green networks
  • OpenVPN roadworrior network
  • L2TP network

Trusted networks panel should deny adding green networks, they are already implicitly trusted.

Another option may be to pre-fill the table with green networks and make them undeletable (grey color?).

I tested the update on a system where I had the vpn installed.
Pre-update, the trusted network page was empty.
After update, it contained 3 lines, in light gray color, with a lock icon and no actions available:
the green network (Description Green: eth0) and the two vpn networks (openvp and l2tp).

My green network is 192.168.56.0/24
I added a trusted network 192.168.57.0/24: success.

When I tried adding 192.168.0.0/16 the system shown the red error box containing:
Network address
Network already in use

I also upgraded a system where I had some trusted networks configured: those were shown as before, intermixed with the new gray lines.
This system had the same problem when I tried to add the super-network.

The case of super-networking will not be handled by the web interface.
Still, the administrator can add a super-network using the command line:

db networks setprop 192.168.0.0 network Mask 255.255.0.0

The network will not be editable using the web interface.
