Description

If a backup is in progress it's not possible to update nethserver-backup-data rpm due to a cpio error.
The error occurs when /mnt/backup is mounted because it's part of nethserver-backup-data package.

Solution
Remove /mnt/backup directory from nethserver-backup-data rpm and create the directory inside the backup script.

  • Execute the backup and check the directory is correctly created

  • Install the old package
  • Configure the backup and mount the backup directory
  • Try to update to the new package
  • Upgrade must be fine
  • If an error about removing /mnt/backup occurs, it can be safely ignored (it should not happen in production)

  • Try to update to the new package
  • Upgrade must be fine
