Description

Wan latency monitoring can be obtained setting PingHosts to relevant addresses, info here:
http://docs.nethserver.org/projects/nethserver-devel/en/latest/collectd.html#ping-plugin

When multiwan is is active, wan link monitor (lsm) automatically obtains latency to the ip used to check link availability.

I'd like to automatically collect latency information with collectd through lsm.

I used the collectd table plugin to read /var/lib/lsm/status.rtt.

Packages in nethserver-testing:
nethserver-collectd-1.2.0-1.1.ge079cbe.ns6.noarch.rpm
nethserver-lsm-1.1.0-1.1.gce6751e.ns6.noarch.rpm

Test case 1 (no multi wan):
update both packages, nothing should change, look in /var/log/messages, collectd should restart

Test case 2 (multi wan):
update both packages, go to applications->collectd graph panel and click on "table" on the left.

Latency values are named with ProviderName followed by checkip, i.e., if you have a Provider named Telco with 3 checkip the graphs will show:
_Telco1_rtt.value
_Telco2_rtt.value
_Telco3_rtt.value

VERIFIED

The table plugin is not set until at least two providers have been configured.

NOTES:
  • /var/lib/lsm/status.rtt is created after 5 minutes lsm has been started
  • nethserver-cgp can't correctly display the new graph, use nethserver-collectd-web instead
